That said, I've realized some changes as I've welcome more years of experience.
For example, I used to go to bed wearing close to nothing. Usually a tank top and shorts. Or sometimes, just a tank top and underwear. Now, I'm fully clothed from head to toe. Yes, it's colder outside right now, but I live in Los Angeles. One day, I wore socks to bed by accident and slept INCREDIBLY. Since then, I started wearing sweats, socks, and a sweater, and Oh Em Gee, I now sleep like a baby.
I now get a pretty great feeling when I keep track of things. I keep track of my spending, I keep track of my daily activities, I keep track of my food, and I keep track of my daily contacts with my clients. They are not heavily detailed, and not individually categorized or anything, but I have found pleasure with being able to look back at a single day and see what I did that day. Could it be because I'm starting to lose my memory? Not so. In fact, since doing this, I realized that I have an OK ability with memorizing numbers. For example, I can tell you that I learned on 1/13/09 that Medicare's Catastrophic Drug Coverage starts at $6,153.75. I recalled this without checking anything. Brain exercise.
I like my veggies. In fact, I covet veggies. People don't have to tell me to finish my vegetables, but they probably will have to tell me to finish my steak. Well, let's be honest. One thing that hasn't changed is that I am still a human vacuum.
I also have started preferring talk radio (well news radio aka NPR) over music radio. Every morning, and every night, you will find me eating my meal with that day's Morning Edition, or All Things Considered (respectively) playing from my laptop's stream. On my long runs, you can find me listening to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and This American Life. However, I still love my Big Boy in the Morning at Power 106. You also can still find me listening to Power 106 with my windows rolled down. Hey, I AM still 25.
Things changes will probably start slowly rolling as each year comes. It's cool. BRING IT.
